Izzy McLeod is a science communicator and participatory arts facilitator focused on queer ecology. Working mycelially their work explores fungi, nature connection, LGBTQ+ rights, disability justice, Welsh Folklore, demystifying academic work, and building a better world.

This practice largely takes the form of creative workshops bringing together science and art to connect people to their often forgotten non-human neighbours.

Izzy has a bit of a squiggly science career, with a BSc in Physics with Astrophysics, an MSc in Renewable Energy and now a freelance career looking at queer ecology and mycology they have always loved science communication and mixing the science and art world together.

Upcoming events

  • Coming up: Digital Queer Ecology workshops

    Monthly From May-September

Incoming: monthly workshops exploring place, community and self through queer ecology!

These workshops are especially welcome to those who are disabled and/or chronically ill and may struggle to get our and meet community in person!

But first I need some input as to what you (potential participant) may want to explore in them.
