Embroidery

Can we mend and stitch our way to a better world?

I love embroidery and textiles as an art form. They force you to be slow and considered but mistakes are often easy to rectify.

Portable, often social, textiles allow you to meditate on your art as you do it.

A big part of my more personal artistic practice is textile art and embroidery. I’m continually inspired by banner and quilt makers, upcyclers, craftivists and those who take the time to express through textiles. This page on my portfolio mostly serves to put some of this work in one place for future reference and interest.

Alongside my queer ecology and fungi workshops I also run intro to embroidery and visible mending workshops with talks on queer or political histories of this art form.
