Our Earth, Our history

What does it mean to be a young person in wales living through the climate crisis?

This Project with Amgueddfa Cymru looked at adapting education around climate change Exploring intersectional environmentalism through creative workshops

This six month climate group for young people (16-30) looked at at climate justice and an intersectional approach to environmentalism, with an emphasis on creative responses and learning. We hosted a range of facilitators in monthly sessions to explore topics like queer ecology, environmental racism, disability justice, and finding your place in the climate movement.

We also created a film on what its like being a young person in Wales living through the climate crisis, what was learnt during the project, and what hopes for the future people have.

It was a culmination of my own learning over the years of the lack of hope, empowerment, and intersectional approaches for tackling the climate crisis in the mainstream movement.
