Platfform Haf
Artists Residency, gathering around ways of thinking about climate change, hope, power and collective making.
This residency helped me to push my work as an artist forward and keep centring climate, land, people and connection.
In 2022 I was selected as one of 8 young people to be part of the Platfform Haf residency with Peak Cymru. Centred around climate change, hope, power and collective making, we explored kinship in nature, personal climate languages, deep time, resources of hope and how we carry questions for the future.
With workshops from writers, geologists, artists and activists I really saw how these worlds can be brought together for change. Creating a final piece for the residency centred around looking back to look forward and what we need to bring together to tackle the climate crisis.
Since this residency I have continued to be engaged with Peak, having been a member of the selection panel for Peak Peers in 2023, as well as being part of workshops to imagine and plan “Our Plot”, a community garden at the Old School in Crickhowell.
Format: 5 Day long residency at Platfform 2, Abergaveny Train Station
Run by: Peak Cymru
